2. About Our Organization
Homeward Bound Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 87-1834208) located in Yuma, AZ. We are 100% volunteer-run. No person affiliated with this organization receives compensation for their services.
3. Adoption Terms
Submitting an adoption application does not guarantee adoption approval. All applications are subject to review at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to decline any application without providing specific reasons. Approved adopters must sign an Adoption Agreement before taking an animal home. Adoption fees are non-refundable once the animal has been transferred to the adopter's care, except at our discretion in cases where the animal cannot be kept due to verifiable emergency circumstances.
By adopting from us, you agree to provide the animal with appropriate veterinary care, shelter, food, water, and a humane living environment.
4. Foster Terms
Foster families agree to provide a safe, caring home environment for animals in their care. All medical care and supplies are provided by Homeward Bound. Foster families may not surrender animals placed in their care to any other organization or individual without prior written approval from Homeward Bound Animal Rescue. Foster animals remain the property of Homeward Bound until formal adoption is completed.
5. Volunteer Terms
Volunteers agree to follow all guidelines provided by Homeward Bound Animal Rescue, including those outlined in the RescueBase platform. Volunteers assume certain inherent risks associated with working with animals. Homeward Bound is not liable for injuries sustained during volunteer activities, though we take all reasonable precautions to ensure volunteer safety.
6. Donations
All cash donations to Homeward Bound Animal Rescue are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law (EIN: 87-1834208). Donations are non-refundable. In-kind donations become the property of the organization upon receipt. We make no guarantee regarding the specific use of any individual donation, though all funds are used to support our animal rescue mission.
