Visit the shelter during business hours (Mon–Fri 12–5pm) to socialize and care for our shelter cats. Improves adoptability and provides critical enrichment. First-timers always welcome.
🚗 Transport Driver
Drive animals to vet appointments and between foster homes across Yuma. Flexible scheduling — sign up for individual trips on RescueBase.
📱 Social Media & Admin
Help us tell our story online. Write pet bios, post updates, respond to messages, and support applications. Work from home on your own schedule.

Families & Teen Volunteers Welcome!
Volunteering at YHBR is a wonderful family activity — children are absolutely welcome and encouraged to come in and volunteer alongside their guardian. It's a meaningful way to teach kids compassion for animals and give back to the Yuma community together.
Teen volunteers are welcome too! We just ask that a parent or guardian sign our volunteer waiver on their behalf. Teens can participate in most shelter volunteer roles, including Kitty Cuddler shifts, shelter support, and adoption events.
Just stop by during business hours (Mon–Fri, 12–5pm) and our team will get you set up — or contact us ahead of time with any questions.
